Synlight Semiconductor Co., Ltd.
Synlight Semiconductor was established in 2012 with a total investment of 2 billion yuan and specialized in the R&D, production and sales of SiC single crystal substrate. Synlight was identified as a national high-tech company and a "Little Giant" company certified by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Synlight always adheres to the concept of "science and technology is the key to create world-wide leading company"and focuses on technological innovation, talents attraction and improvement. And closely collaborate with the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences to build innovative platforms. After several years of efforts, Synlight is ranked among the tier 1 SiC substrate companies.
China has become a great potential semiconductor market with the booming of emerging industries like 5G/new energy vehicles, and the SiC industry come into a rapid development period. With years of technological accumulation, Synlight is expanding rapidly under the demand of the market, and contributing to a more efficient future.
Technology Capability
Synlight insists on accumulating technical advantages, deeply integrating industry, academia and research, attracting talents, building platforms and creating systems. It has introduced three academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences, namely Li Shushen, Xia Jianbai and Zheng Houzhi, and built a high-level innovative team. Multiple platforms were constructed like academician workstation, post-doctoral research center, innovation center, and engineering laboratory. Together with the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Semiconductors, Synlight built the R&D Center and Test Platform of third-generation semiconductor materials, SiC monocrystalline materials and application of the Joint Research Laboratories. A total of 87 authorized patents have been obtained, and the company has been laid out on the full production chain of SiC polycrystalline raw material synthesis, single crystal growth technology, substrate processing technology and key equipment, and formed an innovative system with Synlight characteristics.
Plants
Synlight has established three plants, namely Baoding plant phase I/II, and Laiyuan plant. These plants have entire process production lines from raw material synthesis, crystal growth to substrate processing and wafer testing. It is expected that the total production capacity will exceed 1 million pieces in the future.
